Unlike the traditional e-card your recipient is not required to click a link to a website, the card goes directly to thier mailbox. This script was developed because of the amount of spyware & advertising that is found on traditional e-card sites.

someone once said that "the difference between porn and erotica is just lighting" however some artists go way beyond the traditional boundaries and explore a personal narrative. Similarly there is a wide gap between daubing paint on a body and using the flesh as a canvas for an idea.

For whatever reason people buy a webcam, an inevitable result is that they become more aware of their own image and some, walking to a different drumbeat, use it as a starting point for a graphic journey. The ubiquity of digital photography exposes us all to new, sometimes casual, realisations of 'self'.

By way of contrast, using digital tools to create images derived from the mental wishlist has been around for a long time but is maturing away from the traditional warrior/sword & sorcery straightjacket.

No easy explanation for the 'torsion' gallery other than to question our familiarity with the body when the parts are re-arranged.

Our use of the term 'other' here is pragmatic not derisory. Some pics are just so good they should be seen as widely as possible even if they don't lend themselves to a convenient gallery title.
